Youth Protection & Messaging Requirements
In accordance with the Guide to Safe Scouting and BSA’s Barriers to Abuse, one‑on‑one communication between a Scout and an adult is not permitted on any platform, including GroupMe. Whenever a Scout and an adult need to communicate directly, a parent, the Scoutmaster, or another registered leader must be included in the message thread.
